Day 8
Today is cold and windy. Rainy at times. The kids show interest in taking it easy for a change and so the only item on my to do list is visit my old "farmhouse" in Dønnevælde, a tiny town located somewhere in Nordsjælland. Nowhere really as you could accidentally drive right through it and still not know it's there. I lived there until I was barely 4, I believe yet I have quite a few memories of it. Some are funny, one painful (physical), one sad with a happy ending. I'll tell you sometime if you ask me to. My kids did not seem interested in seeing it. Then again, they don't have those memories lingering and so to them it's just a building. Nothing else. So here it is.
I believe there used to be a third building attached to the other end making it an open sided square. I remember drawing that formation in a somewhat true 3-D formation on paper from the time I was very young. I'm also pretty sure the inside of that open square brick was plastered white. I loved living there. We had a pig with babies, chickens, two goats, a horse, and lots of cats. I may be off as I was little and I'm growing old now. It's so good for kids to grow up with animals is my believe.
