Day 24

Yesterday as well as today and tomorrow we are welcomed to hot and humid weather. A phenomenon you don't usually get to experience here (the hot not the humid) not even in the deepest of summer. I quickly changed, or rather slowly changed from my sticky pants to a cooler wardrobe. The only thing we could think of doing in this heat and no ac equipped homes was to pay my old neighborhood swimming pool a visit. We forgot of course to pack games and things to keep the kids occupied as my kids have developed quite a sophisticated taste for pools since we've been members of Seven Peaks for years and they have a ton more slides etc. So even though this was all nostalgic and fun for me, they got tired of things fairly quickly. I had to bribe them with well overpriced popsicles to make them stay longer. The 10 meter platform opened for an hour and so I thought I would do my header I had done quite a few times back when I was young and I guess a little more fearless because once I was up there and looked down, I got scared. After not doing a head dive for over 25 years, the guy in charge thought it to be wiser for me to jump in on my feet... I get easily persuaded to do things. If it's being dared or talked out off. So I only jumped in on my feet. Now I'm regretting it so much that I have set a time to go back and redo it with a header. I have to do it!!!

Pretty much no rules in sliding down the waterslide. Train, backwards, head first... you name it.
