Day 7
Knowing this day may be the last day of "good" weather (partially overcast and breezy) we headed to the medieval festival held in Southwestern Kobenhavn. I hate paying entrance money and so this was a hard decision for me to make to attend. But we are on vacation and I'm not sure we could find something like it in Utah. Even though all the authentic and handmade novelties were overpriced (in my mind) we all overall enjoyed the festival offered and ended up spending a little more on souvenirs, now that I look at it. I also think the kids had just as much fun climbing or running up this one rock that was placed in the park outside the festival and checking out a real Danish playground.
Tristan tried no hands but ended up being captured getting a little scare in. Haha.
It was a Danish Holiday and so I had a hard time finding a store with good bread to tie us over until we had made plans to visit my oldest brother and family later that evening. There is always yogurt for the kids... So that's what they got. So far their diet has consisted mostly of drinkable yogurt (as all yogurt in Denmark is thinner and comes in a milk container) and nectarines. I guess not too bad of a diet considering mine consists of pastries, licorice and bread. :) I arrived very hungry at my brother's house because I refuse to drink yogurt. Lucky for me they had gotten dinner ready for all of us. How considerate and nice of them. My kids got along just fine with their newly introduced cousins partially because they have a Wii U with all their favorite games. They have been asking me numerous times since then when we could go visit my brother again. Gaming withdrawal I'm sure.
Talon and Riven were begging for their daily Ocean visit before the nightfall again. So I dropped them off at the local beach while I went last minute shopping. I realized I may miss out on the extremely nice sunset which sets that time right around 10:00 p.m. (since the store closes at that time) but the argument that we needed more food supply at home won. Sure enough I missed the actual sunset but still got a good amount of nice pictures in. All the beach pictures are the raw and straight from my camera. Great colors.
